San Diego Shores Water Polo Club director Doug Peabody helps to Showcase Athletes

Coach Peabody continues to impact the water polo community nationally.  A recognized standout coach with San Diego Shores Water Polo Club and The Bishops School he has a been a pillar in the San Diego Water Polo Community for 30+ years.  The Skills and Drills opportunity was created by Doug to give all athletes the opportunity to be seen and connect with next level water polo opportunities.  "My Goal with the skills and drills was to provide a level playing field for all water polo athletes to showcase their skills.  Many athletes wait for one chance to be seen by the college coaches at a major tournament.  If you are not on one of the top club or high school programs many times you will be overlooked.  We changed the model, invited the college coaches to San Diego and open the skills and drills up to the entire country.  The Skills and Drills allows any athlete to jump in, get tested and compete on a level playing field.  The college coaches love it because in an afternoon they can evaluate talent and interact with the student-athletes.  I am proud to say we have helped open the doors to 750+ athletes with the Skills and Drills Experience." - Doug Peabody

Girls Clinic 7:30 am-12:30 pm Boys Clinic 12:00pm-5:00 pm Tests to be performed will include but not be limited to the following.

Skills Test:

-25 yard goal face to goal face head up sprint dribble

-50 yard head up free sprint two to two.

- Change of direction, agility, and explosion

- Full scrimmages. 

-Goalie-specific testing and drilling

- Game-specific and situational passing and shooting drills.
