KAP7 Croatia Camp 2024

This is an amazing opportunity to learn from some of the best European and Olympic Coaches, and practice against current European championship teams in both scrimmages, and a tournament at the end of the camp. Places are limited to 40 athletes in both U14 and U16 age groups, boys and girls, and will be filled on receipt of your deposit. Spend 9 days competing in one of the most beautiful water polo destinations in the world. 

Cavtat is a small town on the south of the Croatia. This beautiful town is located right near Dubrovnik, which is one of the main tourist destination of Mediterran. Well-known for its touristic history, but also for its rich water polo history. Some of the best water polo players were born and raised in Cavtat, where they trained and started their careers.

What's included in the camp?

Hotel Croatia (5 Star), three athletes/room 3 meals per day- Breakfast and dinner at the hotel and packed lunch or lunch provided on boat trip/excursion Water polo sessions in the sea pool in Cavtat morning and afternoon, two sessions per day apart from excursion days with one session Scrimmage with local teams included, plus tournament at the end with local teams Boat trip whole day (after morning session) to visit Dubrovnik islands Guided tour to the Old Town of Dubrovnik Trip to Adrenalin Park and a boat tour to the famous Korčula Island including a game against Korčula Water Polo Club. Lunch at Nature Resort (family-owned restaurant) Coach included per team for all of the above.

Dean Kontic

From 2005 to 2012, Dean worked with the Croatian national water polo team as the Assistant and strength and conditioning coach with Ratko Rudic as Head Coach. In 2007 Gold Medal World Championships 2010, Gold medal European championship-, 2 Silver medals in World Cups, 1 Gold and 1 Bronze medal World league 2009 - 2015 President Croatian Water Polo Coach Association. 2012-2021 Strength & Conditioning Coach, assistant coach to Elvis Fatović, Australian National Team. 

Misko Bobic

13 years coaching Water Polo Cavtat Senior players (13 years in Second League) - 8 times first in the competition of 22 clubs - Coaching Water polo club Gusar senior players (2 years in First League) - Coaching Water polo club Jug senior players (1 year) - Coaching Younger Junior Cavtat players (2016-2022) • 5 Gold Medals • 5 Silver Medals • 2 Bronze Medals

Note:

Players must make their own way to Cavtat, Croatia for the start of the camp on June 30th, 2024 and return after the conclusion on July 8th, or there is potential for an extended European family holiday for the remainder of the holidays. Special hotel rates will be provided for parents and siblings in Hotel Croatia, a 5 Star hotel. Please note each athlete must have a Parent/Guardian in attendance for the duration of the camp.
